The Fair Hill Dressage Sport Horse Breed Show took place Saturday, August 28, 2004, under bright and sunny skies that made the day hot and steamy at Fair Hill, near Elkton, MD.

Six Lipizzan horses entered and showed in this first-ever breed show, which was planned as a replacement show for the recently abandoned PVDA Breed Show in Maryland, and as a warm-up for Dressage At Devon Breed Show.

It was put on by Lori Kaminski and her Chesapeake Equestrian Events. The judges were Martha Aitken and Johanna Gwinn.

Winner of the Lipizzan breed class, and named champion Lipizzan, was Casurina, a dark 3yo mare owned and shown by Melanie Adams of White Hall, Md. The class, which ended up being more than three hours after it was originally scheduled, was well represented with Lipizzans from age 2 and a half months (Brentana) to age 27 years (Siglavy II Hope).
While an endurance test due to the wait, it was well worth it to hear the comments of spectators and other competitors that the Lipizzans were the best behaved group of horses there.

The owners and breeders who entered are to be congratulated for

their hard work in putting together a beautiful class of well prepared  horses that looked and acted like the classic and noble animals they are.

There appears to be growing interest in the great breed, and this was evidenced by the full class of horses.

MALA sponsored the engraved silver plate and ribbons that were awarded.
